PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KEBERADAAN PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT PT. PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA VIII TAMBAKSARI AFDELING SINDANGSARI, SUBANG

Indonesia is the country with largest oil palm plantation in world. One of companies that manages plantations PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII Tambaksari afdeling sindangsari plantation, Subang. Before it became an land, most people planted pineapple crops. After existence plantations, many communities were helped by economy. However, some farmers' livelihoods have complained continue to narrow because they are prepared for development. Based on these problems, this study aims describe characteristics around and find out community's perception at PTPN Kebun Afdeling Sindangsari, Subang terms social impacts economic using descriptive analysis scoring analysis. The method used quantitative a type survey research. results showed company had positive impact indicators which included quality education, facilities infrastructure, values average score 68.08 category labor, new work ventures, number residents job opportunities 71.47 category.
